This remote key fob case is an ideal solution to refurbish your existing key. This could be due to the flip mechanism breaking, the metal key ring part snapping or general wear and tear.

Remove the PCB and Glass Transponder chip from your existing key and transfer it into this new remote key fob case. We recommend that you have the key blade duplicated from the existing key to the new key blade, however, we are aware that some people are capable of removing the retaining pin from the old key and changing the blade over to the new key fob case (This made need slight adjustments or a bit filing if you do it this way).

NOTE** Do not forget to remove the Glass Transponder from your original flip key head. If you don't, the vehicle will not start. Make sure you are aware of this before buying this key case. If you need further explanation, please get in touch.

NOTE** PLEASE BE AWARE - Some key cutters make up the excuse that the blade material is to hard to cut. We have personally used and cut over 1500+ of these cases of which has never let us down so this is NOT a valid excuse. Please check that you can get this cut before buying.

PLEASE NOTE** Please check your existing key against the remote key fob case shown in this listing. This listing is for the older style Volkswagen remote keys. Your existing key will have an LED on the right hand side in the middle of the remote key fob case. If your key does not have an LED on the right hand side in the middle, then this case is not compatible.
